FLINT, Mich. - Property owners at the site of the home explosion on Hogarth Avenue can start the demolition process.
For months now, the sites have been under control of the state pending an investigation.
Now with the investigation complete, work can start behind the fenced off area where charred walls and burnt out cars sit.
Mayor Sheldon Neeley says permits have been pulled on two of the three properties needed to be demolished.
He says property owners are working with insurance companies to get this work done, but Neeley did not rule out extra funds if these property owners need it.
As of right now, it is unclear where those possible funds would come from, or if/when they might become available.
