Crews battled heavy flames at a southwest Oklahoma City home early Tuesday morning.
Around 1:20 a.m., crews battled a fire at a two-story home on Southwest 28th Street just off Interstate 44. Authorities said there was so much fire that crews had to battle the flames from the outside of the building.
"Our crews initially had to attack the fire from the outside just because of the amount of fire that we found," Battalion Chief Paul Nash said.
Firefighters searched the home and learned that no one was inside. Oklahoma City Fire Department officials said about 75% of the home had heavy fire damage along with smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the front windows and door were boarded up, but the back door was open. Neighbors told fire department officials that people experiencing homelessness frequent the home.
