OKLAHOMA CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH ALL OF THOSE DETAILS. AUDREY: THIS HAPPENED AT A HOME ON SOUTHWEST 28th STREET AND SAID THERE WAS SO MUCH FIRE THEY HAD TO BATTLE THE FLAMES FROM OUTSIDE OF THE HOME. CREWS CALLED TO THIS AREA JUST BEFORE 2:00 THIS MORNING. THEY TELL US THE FIRST THING THEY SAW WAS A GRASS FIRE. BUT JUST MOMENTS LATER, THAT'S WHEN THEY SAW THIS NEARBY TWO-STORY HOME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. >> JUST BEFORE 1:30 THIS MORNING WE GOT CALL OF A GRASS FIRE. ONCE OUR CREWS ARRIVED ON SCENE, WE SAW A WORKING HOUSE FIRE. OUR CREWS HAD TO ATTACK THE FIRE FROM THE OUTSIDE JUST BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF FIRE WE FOUND. AUDREY: ONCE THEY GOT THE FIRE KNOCKED DOWN, THEY WERE ABLE TO GO INSIDE TO COMPLETELY EXTINCTISH THE -- EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. WE DO KNOW THE HOME IS VACANT AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED I

Crews battled heavy flames at a southwest Oklahoma City home early Tuesday morning.Around 1:20 a.m., crews battled a fire at a two-story home on Southwest 28th Street just off Interstate 44. Authorities said there was so much fire that crews had to battle the flames from the outside of the building."Our crews initially had to attack the fire from the outside just because of the amount of fire that we found," Battalion Chief Paul Nash said.Firefighters searched the home and learned that no one was inside. Oklahoma City Fire Department officials said about 75% of the home had heavy fire damage along with smoke and water damage.No injuries were reported.Authorities said the front windows and door were boarded up, but the back door was open. Neighbors told fire department officials that people experiencing homelessness frequent the home.
