Beloved Louisville meteorologist John Belski received an honor from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association on Monday.Belski has won countless awards during his tenure in Louisville, but now he's officially a member of the KBA Hall of Fame following his induction Monday night.He worked for WLKY in the 1980s, then at WAVE through the 90s into 2010. He returned to WLKY for several years working first as a fill-in, then regular meteorologist. He contributed to community event coverage, published his weather blog, and also covered traffic on WLKY morning news for a period of time. He has been voted Best Meteorologist of Louisville and the Best of Kentucky numerous times by different publications.Belski was the first meteorologist in the country to present a daily 14-day forecast. He was even invited to the White House to meet with President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore for a discussion on global warming.He's also a published author.Congrats, John!
