Police arrested a suspect they said shot and killed a man during an argument over a broken down car in a southeast Oklahoma City road.

Around 6:20 p.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a shooting near Southeast 43rd Street and High Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man dead with a gunshot wound.
The Oklahoma City Police Department identified the victim as Felipe Palacios, 33.
A news release says investigators learned that Palacios and a friend were driving near Southeast 43rd Street and High Avenue when their car broke down. A second person was driving nearby and got upset because Palacios' car was in the road, police said.
Palacios and the second man got into an argument, and police said the second person shot and killed Palacios.

The suspect left the scene but later returned and turned himself in to police.
Authorities arrested the suspect on a murder complaint and booked him into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. Police identified the suspect as Jason Mercer.
