Details Released About Friday Accident on Route 1A

(Undated) – Details have been released about a two-vehicle accident Friday that had Route 1A closed for several hours. According to Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, just after 7 am thirty-four-year-old, Contrell Quillen of Terre Haute crossed the center line, for unknown reasons, on North Trimble road colliding head-on with sixty-nine-year-old R.D.Stephens, of Robinson. Quillen’s vehicle rolled into the ditch. Rutan says both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles by Crawford County Rescue and Robinson Fire. Quillen was transported to the hospital by Air Evac and Stephens was taken to the hospital by United Life Care Ambulance Service. Crawford County Rescue, Robinson Fire Protection District, and United Life Care Ambulance Service assisted on the scene.
