2 armed men rob Syracuse strip club workers of more than $10,000 cash, police say: Syracuse police say they are looking for two males who walked into a strip club early Monday and robbed workers of more than $10,000 cash. The armed robbery happened around 2:20 a.m. at Lookers, where masked suspects entered through a back door with handguns.

Mother of CBA student who died after skiing files lawsuit against ski resort: Lisa Cuomo, of Manlius, says in court papers filed Monday that her 15-year-old son was killed after accessing a dangerous Olympic training ski jump that should have been blocked off and marked. She’s suing the owner of Bristol Mountain Ski Resort after her son Christian Cuomo, a Christian Brothers Academy student, tried to navigate what he believed was a typical feature of the terrain park and thrown 95 feet through the air away from the slope, according to a lawsuit.

ESM adds security, new weapons detectors after racist shooting threat: East Syracuse Minoa High School students will return to the classroom Tuesday with added security as the district and police continue to investigate a threat of racist violence. A student received a text message threatening a shooting Monday targeting Black students; similar threats were also sent to students at Corcoran and Henninger high schools in the city of Syracuse, police said.

Syracuse man charged in double murder that left disabled boy alone with bodies for 3 days: Jamel Weston, 46, has been arrested in a double murder inside an Eastwood apartment last month that left a disabled youngster alone with the bodies for three days, according to the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. Two other suspects involved in the murder remain unaccounted for.

Looking Ahead

NY farm workers are about to get more overtime, and taxpayers are footing the bill: Farm workers in New York are about to receive a big bump in overtime pay after a state board recommended that the trigger for overtime wages drop from 60 to 40 hours a week. The change will be phased in over the next decade, and farmers won’t have to pay for the overtime: Taxpayers will. The state has passed a law that will let farmers get reimbursed for the overtime premium -- plus 18% to cover additional costs.

Syracuse football bowl projections? SU is expected to be 5-0 after facing Wagner this weekend, so experts are already predicting the Orange will head to warmer weather for a bowl game. Coach Dino Babers, meanwhile, is still hoping to improve in the rankings: “I’m excited about the Top 25, but the Top 20 ... Now you’ve got me going.”
