Rain through the afternoon & evening
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A band of lake effect rain was hammering parts of southern Jefferson County and northern Oswego County through much of the morning and into the afternoon.
There’s a flash flood warning for that area through 3:15 p.m. There’s a flood watch the for all Jefferson, Lewis, and Oswego counties through 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying areas could flood, and poor drainage could cause flooding in communities.
Showers will be off and on and where there’s a flash flood warning, folks could see a total of 4 to 6 inches of rain. If it were snow, that would translate to between 40 and 60 inches.
Highs will be in the upper 50s.
It won’t be as wet on Wednesday – there’s only a 30% chance of rain. It will be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid- to upper 50s.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and in the mid-50s.
Friday will be sunny and in the low 60s.
It will be sunny and in the mid-60s on Saturday.
Sunday will be partly sunny and in the mid-60s.
It will be in the mid-60s and mostly sunny on Monday.
