An unidentified man was seen using his cellphone to take multiple pictures outside of Dunsmore Elementary School at around 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. He was described as a 45- to 55-year-old white or Hispanic man with a medium build, standing 6 feet tall and wearing an orange T-shirt with “Arizona” printed on the back and a black helmet, and was driving a motorcycle with a red or orange tank, raised handlebars and a passenger backrest.
A 26-year-old Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a controlled substance while armed and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia after being found allegedly parked in a handicap stall without a placard at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, in the 4500 block of San Fernando Road. Officers said the man, who allegedly tried to flee, was rolling a marijuana joint in his car and had a loaded firearm, methamphetamine and a broken pipe in his possession.
Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station
An unidentified man was seen stealing a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in a parking lot in the 2800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta at 3:48 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14. The man was seen driving a Ford Mustang and drove south on Dyer Street after leaving the scene.
Two unidentified men were seen stealing prescription sunglasses and a referee watch from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 2400 block of Frances Street in La Crescenta at 5:09 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. One man was described as standing 5-feet-8 inches tall and wearing a gray hoodie, while the second was described as standing 5-feet-10 inches tall and wearing a black hoodie.
A resident in the 2600 block of Altura Avenue in La Crescenta reported discovering recently that an unknown person had compromised one of her bank accounts and fraudulently transferred a large amount of money elsewhere.
