The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a 3-year-old who was taken without permission on Monday from her legal guardian.
Detectives said Jream Macklin, 3, was taken around 11:30 a.m. without permission from her legal guardian's home by her biological mother, 33-year-old Addinesha Estem.
Police believe this is a domestic incident and feel the toddler is not in any immediate danger.
Once located by police, Estem will face charges of interference with the custody of a child and simple criminal damage to property. The latter charge comes after the 33-year-old allegedly damaged items in the home during the incident, according to police.
Anyone with information on Estem or Macklin's whereabouts is being urged to call Crimestoppers (504) 822-1111.
