Police search for man in northeast Nebraska

Oakland Police had advised people not to approach him, but later reported he had been taken into custody ‘without incident.’

OAKLAND, Neb. (WOWT) - Police in the northeastern Nebraska town of Oakland on Monday were asking the public to be on the lookout.

They were attempting to locate Daniel Hanna, 58, from Oakland, describing him as approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pound; with blonde hair and blue eyes. He had last been seen shirtless and wearing white pants.

Oakland Police later reported he had been taken into custody Monday afternoon “without incident.”

Oakland Police had said there was a protection order against him and that if you see him, you should not approach him, advising instead that anyone who comes in contact with him should call Burt County dispatch at 402-374-2900.
