Cruisin’ the Coast prepares final touches for party time

Cruisin’ the Coast is right around the corner and News 25 caught up with Executive Director Woody Bailey on how much is left to get ready.

Bailey tells us that the team is working hard setting up for the block party but there is still a lot of work to be done.

The team with Cruisin’ the Coast has already began setting up at Centennial Plaza which cruisers will go to register and use as a central hub for the party.

This weekend, 200 volunteers got together to pack over 9,000 registration bags as well.

Pre-registration has been completed and sees over 8,000 cruisers already signed up. Bailey said, “People are having fun. They’re enjoying being here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and if we can have an event that everybody enjoys and has fun and helps the economy out in the Mississippi Gulf Coast as well as the state of Mississippi, that’s a win-win for everybody and it doesn’t get much better than that.”

Guests from 44 states, Canada, and England are making the trip to the Coast.
