CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — Two people were injured in a shooting near a Central Falls park Monday evening, according to police.
Officers responded to the Corrigan Sports Complex on Higginson Avenue around 7:20 p.m. for reports of shots fired near the basketball court.
The officers arrived to find two males, an adult and a juvenile, suffering from gunshot wounds victims. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say it appears that the suspect and the victims knew each other.
No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
