Argument leads to driver running over man, Detroit police say

Detroit police are searching for a suspect accused of intentionally hitting a man with his car Monday on the city's west side.

Two men started arguing around 10:30 a.m. in a parking lot outside a business in the 15400 block of Joy, investigators said in a statement.

At one point, "the suspect hit the victim with his black Buick sedan and drove off," according to the release.

Medics rushed the 53-year-old victim to a hospital for treatment. He was listed in critical condition, police said.

Police did not release a description of the suspect or other details in the incident. He and his car were captured on a Project Green Light surveillance camera.
