A woman from Port St. Lucie was arrested following a string of break-ins in Fort Pierce.

The Fort Pierce Police Department said they arrested 25-year-old Zykhirea Wyatt for her involvement in the burglaries of houses across Fort Pierce.

Officers say on Sept. 22, a home off of Beach Court and Parkway Drive was broken into at around 7:30 p.m. Officers learned that Wyatt broke into the victim's home and fled the scene.

The following day, the police department said officers responded to several other burglaries along Indian River Drive. While on patrol, officers had Wyatt's description and were able to find her and make an arrest.
