The man accused of peeping through a teenager’s window in Edmond earlier this month admitted to officers he was the man on camera.
Brian Rich told police he did nothing wrong, but they said it’s not the only accusation against him.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Rich admitted to police he was seen looking through a window but told them he wasn’t doing anything wrong.
KOCO 5 first said in early September that Edmond police were looking for a man who was caught on camera looking through a teenager’s window near Coffee Creek Road and Bryant Avenue.
After police posted the video to social media asking for the public’s help, they got numerous tips about who the suspect might be. They called Rich in for questioning six days later.
During an interview with Edmond police, Rich admitted it was him in the video and claimed he was walking in the area early in the morning in an area he did not live in.
He told officers he had to go to the restroom and couldn’t make it to his car, but before he relieved himself, he looked in the window to make sure no one could see him.
However, officers said he had to walk up to 75 feet through the woods to get to the spot and had plenty of trees he could have picked that were not near the home.
Someone in a different neighborhood reported the same thing happening. Rich also admitted he was seen on surveillance video in that case but said he was only looking for a job site where he was supposed to remove a tree.
Rich said he never looked in any windows in that home.
