About 60,000 people turned out for the first Sound on Sound Music and Arts Festival in Bridgeport this weekend, which generated some mixed reviews from attendees.

There were concerns about long lines and traffic. For others, it was an enjoyable experience.

Organizers say they heard the feedback, and made improvements from Saturday to Sunday.

Some people took to social media to share their distaste for the experience. One person called it “a debacle.”

Others, like Susan Carnes, of Stamford, sang a different tune.

"I was happy as can be," said Carnes. "I'm so proud of Bridgeport, because this Seaside Park is just a gem, a jewel, and more people should know about it."

Co-producer of Sound on Sound Tom Russell told News 12 that they his team stayed up all night to address the negative feedback.

"We addressed everything in real time, and we think it paid off on day two," he said.

The shorter lines, pedestrian walkways, better signage, and more space to enjoy the music, were acknowledged by festival-goers on Sunday.

Organizers from Sound on Sound say they look forward making this an annual event. In a statement, a city spokesperson for Bridgeport says that Sound on Sound generated $25 million in economic benefits and had 16 vendors from across Connecticut.
