RPD has identified the man who was shot and killed on Weaver Street on Wednesday, September 21.
Officers say the victim was 40-year-old Carlos Roman-Morales, a well-known and well-liked homeless man in the area.
He was known for doing odd jobs in the neighborhood. Police say they believe he was walking down the street, when he was fatally shot, and it remains unknown if the victim was the intended target.
Investigators in the department's Major Crimes Unit have been unable to locate any of Roman-Morales' family members. They're asking anyone with any contact information for someone in his family to call the unit at 585-428-7157.
No arrests have been made, and anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 585-423-9300.
