Wayne County BANDARAMA showcases 400 students, eight bands

The 63rd Annual Wayne County BANDARAMA, sponsored by Tri-County Educational Service Center, was held at Triway High School stadium on Saturday.

The colorful musical presentation began with a combined band of over 400 student musicians marching onto the field in mass for the performance of the "Star Spangled Banner" conducted by Chris Andrews, assistant director of the Northwestern High School band.

The performance of instrumental music and pageantry featured eight Wayne county marching bands from Chippewa, Dalton, Northwestern, Norwayne, Orrville, Rittman, Smithville and Triway. 

Norwayne High School marching band was one of eight to perform at the BANDARAMA on Saturday evening.

The annual event presents a variety of music and themes as each of the participating schools will present individual shows.

John Puster, Triway High School band director, and Dr. Michelle Muro, fine arts consultant for Tri-County Educational Service Center, co-chair the annual event.
