Police said Monday they have arrested a suspect in a stabbing that happened near downtown Wichita.
A 29-year-old Wichita man has been booked into jail on attempted murder charges, in connection with an incident that happened early Friday in the 400 block of West Central.
Police were called to a report of a stabbing, and they learned that a 41-year-old man was taken to a hospital by a neighbor. They found that the victim and the attacker had been in an argument, and then the victim was stabbed over 30 times. The victim was later released from the hospital.
Police said the two men are known to each other and this was not a random incident. Information in the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for the filing of charges.
