The Masked Singer season four winner LeAnn Rimes recently released her newest album God’s Work. Previously disguised as The Sun in The Masked Singer, she released her spiritually influenced album that’s nearly three years in the making.

LeAnn Rimes’s New Album God’s Work Shows Off Her Raw Talent

LeAnn Rimes recently released her seventeenth studio album, God’s Work to streaming. This release truly show’s off the singer’s long-running career. Within each track, Rimes truly shows off her talent. The album features 12 songs that express a journey filled with struggles and emotions, through reflection and awakening.

The album opens with the song “spaceship,” which is said to have been written in the early days of lockdown. The song’s lyrics are full of loneliness, anger, and confusion combined with gorgeous piano riffs making it a good listen.

Rime’s talent doesn’t end in the country genre, within her track “the only,” the singer embraces a reggae-inspired groove and brings her voice together with Ziggy Marley, Ledisi, and Ben Harper. Theatrical, and instrumental build-up punctuate “awakening” while it’s Rimes’ impressive range that dominates “how much a heart can hold.”

The album then goes on to feature powerful tribalistic drumming with the songs “throw my arms around the world,” and “the wild.” The banjo-fueled song “something betters coming,” has equally captivating vocals and instrumentation making it a personal favorite. The album levels off into “imagined with love” and “there will be a better day.”

The closing track to the album is the song “I do,” where Rimes’ empowerment can be deeply felt. Overall listening to the album felt like an empowering experience while also calming and meditative at times.

LeAnn Rimes Announces Holiday Tour

As Rimes celebrates the release of the new album, she is gearing up to launch her Christmas Tour. Within the upcoming tour, she’ll be traveling to five cities. Within each concert, Rimes is expected to perform both her greatest and newest hits.

The tour called Joy: The Holiday Tour, starts on December 2 and concludes on December 18. Rimes, who just celebrated her 40th birthday, will also include a previously announced stop at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
