Along with raising money for a good cause, they honored an Oklahoma County deputy who was shot while in the line of duty.
In late August, Deputy Mark Johns and Sgt. Bobby Swartz were shot while serving an eviction notice at a home in southwest Oklahoma City. Swartz died, and Johns is recovering.
This past weekend, Johns was honored during The Beach Boys and John Stamos concert. The musicians honored the deputy during the show, and he received a standing ovation from the crowd.
Band members also signed guitars to be raffled and auctioned to a benefit event to help Johns and Swartz's family.
The charity concert helped raise money for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and its Food for Kids programs. KOCO 5 was one of the event's sponsors.
