With a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Dodgers officially clinched the top seed in the National League.

The best record in baseball is still in play, but they’ll have home-field advantage through at least the NLCS.

Los Angeles took advantage of a struggling Adam Wainwright and put up four runs early on the ace.

They held on and secured win No. 106 on the season.

In fact, the Dodgers accomplished a solid feat with yesterday’s win, becoming the only team since 2019 to record 106 or more wins in three straight full seasons.

The 2020 season of course does not count as a full season due to it being shortened to just 60 games.

Dodgers Win 106 Games…Again

While there will be some stiff competition in the postseason from teams like the Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, and even the Cardinals, the Dodgers are battle tested and battle scary.

Even with injuries taking out Tony Gonsolin and Walker Buehler, the Dodgers have proven to be an absolute powerhouse.

Fans of other teams may be tired of the Dodgers’ dominance, but like it or not, this team is the best team in all of baseball, both on paper and in the standings.

If you’re a National League team and plan on making a run to the World Series, you’re going to have to go through Los Angeles.

They’ve won the NL West nine times in the last 10 years and have won 100 or more games in four of the last six seasons.

The Dodgers remain a force to be reckoned with and have a very good chance to take home yet another World Series title.
