Bicyclist Struck In Westhampton Airlifted To Hospital, Police Say

The incident took place in Westhampton around 10:45 a.m., Monday, Sept. 26 on Old Riverhead Road.

Southampton Town police responded and requested additional personnel for assistance, said Lt. Susan Ralph of the Southampton Police.

 Westhampton Beach Police, Suffolk County Sheriff’s, Westhampton Beach Fire Department, and Westhampton Beach Volunteer Ambulance responded as well. 

Suffolk County Aviation has been requested to fly the victim for further medical attention, Ralph said. 

Southampton Town detectives responded and are currently investigating the crash.
