Preseason Game Preview: Islanders at Rangers

The New York Islanders begin their preseason slate on Monday night against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
The game is the Islanders' first with Lane Lambert as head coach and his first chance to evaluate his camp roster against an opponent.

"The last three days, we've been preparing, but now you're playing against a team with a different uniform on, so it'll be good to see what happens there," Lambert said on Saturday.
Monday would mark Alexander Romanov's preseason debut in an Islanders jersey if he plays.
Lambert said Monday morning that Semyon Varlamov will start Monday night's game against the Rangers.
