State Police Calls: Tractor-Trailers Collide on Interstate 80 in Brookville Borough

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Tractor0Trailer Collision in Brookville Borough

On September 22 around 12:07 p.m., police responded to mile marker 79.4 on Interstate 80 eastbound in Brookville Borough, Jefferson County, for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

A 2018 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling in the left lane while a 2022 Freightliner was traveling in the right lane.

For unknown reasons, the Volvo drifted into the right lane; contact was made with the passenger side of the Volvo’s trailer and the Freightliner’s driver-side mirror.

The driver of the Volvo was unaware that contact was made and continued driving. The driver of the Freightliner attempted to follow the Volvo, but was unsuccessful.

Through dash cam footage, the business and DOT number were located, and the driver and business owner were able to be contacted.

No injuries were sustained, and both vehicles were able to be driven.

Both drivers were emailed a notice of crash investigation.

Drug Possession in Reynoldsville Borough

On Friday, September 23, around 2:05 a.m., PSP DuBois responded to a location near the intersection of Rutter Aly and Broadway Street in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County, for reports of drug possession.

A 37-year-old Dubois man was subsequently arrested.

False Identification in Reynoldsville Borough

On Friday, September 23, around 2:05 a.m., PSP DuBois conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Dodge Chrysler for summary vehicle code violations on Rutter Aly, in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County.

During the investigation, the driver, a 54-year-old DuBois City man, was found to be under the influence of controlled substances and gave a false identification to law enforcement.
