BUCYRUS—Loretta Sue Adams of Colonel Crawford Unit 181, Bucyrus has been named the Ohio Unit Member of the Year at the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Ohio Convention held in Cincinnati this summer. Ms. Adams was also named the Central Division Unit Member of the Year at the ALA National Convention held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the end of August.
Sue joined our Unit in 2009 and has been an active member since. Sue has been the Poppy Chairman for Unit 181 since 2014. Sue is also a very active, involved member of the Amvets post in Bucyrus. In 2012 Sue was selected as one of ten Outstanding Women of Crawford County for her veteran’s programs and volunteering.
Colonel Crawford Unit 181 was also recognized for their contribution to the Ohio ALA Military Family Assistance Fund. The Unit donated $5,000.00 raised from their annual Patriotic Dinner Show in April.
