Remains found in Dallas County last month have now been identified as those of a 26-year-old woman who vanished more than a year ago.
In August, a woman's remains were discovered in a field in an isolated area near Lancaster, nearly 20 miles from where a Dallas woman named Sydney Palmer was last seen in September of 2021.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner ran tests on the remains and confirmed a match with Palmer.
Officials did not mention a cause of death or release any additional details.
An investigation is ongoing.
Palmer was reported missing on September 8. Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to contact the Dallas County Sheriff's Department or Dallas Police Department.
