Penn State got a 19-point victory over Central Michigan on Saturday in a off-putting win that left everyone, even head coach James Franklin searching for an answer after the game as to why the victory didn’t feel more satisfying,  “We had a good week of practice and preparation, but the game left you sitting there. Whether it was our focus, whether it was seeing, whether it was big play potential. When you look again at the statistics sheet, you feel good about it, but it did not necessarily always feel that way during the game,” Franklin said. Since then, Franklin has watched the film and assessed what caused the issues for his team on Saturday. So we’ll do the same and look at what frustrated the Nittany Lions offensively. We’ll address Central Michigan’s shift to Cover 0, the issues protecting quarterback Sean Clifford, and the totality of how that affected the senior QB.
