PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two teenage boys, ages 13 and 14, were shot and injured in the Nicetown section of North Philadelphia early Monday morning.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. near Hunting Park Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard.
Both boys were taken to the hospital, where they are in stable condition.
Police said they recovered a BB gun from the scene.
According to city data, nearly 170 children have been shot this year. That’s 13 more than this time last year.
Hours prior, a 23-year-old man was found shot to death inside a car in the Oxford Circle neighborhood.
Police have not made any arrests in either of these cases.
