Rickie Fowler's former caddie Joe Skovron - who endured a tough break up with the popular PGA Tour man - says "you'd have to ask him" when pressed on whether emerging star Tom Kim wants him on the bag.

At just 20 years old Kim, who won his maiden victory PGA Tour victory at the Wyndham Championship earlier this year that had dramatic implications, was one of the bright sparks for the spirited International side that almost reduced Trevor Immelman to tears.

Kim went 2-3-0 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte last week. Kim partnered the sexiest man alive in K.H. Lee where they lost 2&1 to Cameron Young and Collin Morikawa on day one.

He then partnered the LIV-linked Hideki Matsuyama where they lost 3&2 against Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

Kim managed to grab his first Presidents Cup point alongside the aforementioned Lee when they beat Scottie Scheffler - who had a less than impressive week - and Sam Burns, winning 2&1 in the foursomes.

Kim and Si Woo Kim - who was involved in a gimme controversy with Justin Thomas - narrowly beat Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

He was winning by three against Max Homa in the Sunday Singles before the American launched a stunning comeback on the back nine by winning four holes in a row.

Throughout the 2022 Cup, Kim was simply the most charismatic player for the rest-of-the-world side.

Simply for doing things like this:

Whether you love or hate that kind of behaviour is subjective.

Anyway, Skovron talked-up Kim after the International side lost 17.5 to 12.5.

"He was so impressive this week," said Skovron. "[He is] just 20 years old [and] to handle the moments like he did and, you know, bring a fire to the team and respond to the big moments with the putt on 18 and winning the two matches yesterday, yeah, I was very impressed."

What makes him stand out?

"There's a lot of things that stand out. But the number one thing is he has that "it" factor that he wants the moment, he wants the big putt. He wants that, and he can respond to it," Skovron added.

"Then obviously how straight he hits it and the laser irons he hits. And he made a lot of big putts."

Skovron said he believes the sky is the limit for Kim. What does the future look like?

"I don't know. You'd have to ask him. You'd have to ask him about that," he said.

He added: "I had a lot of fun this week. Had a lot of fun."

Sounds like someone wants a job.
