Honor Flight Maine holds surprise procession for dozens of Maine veterans

PORTLAND (WGME) -- A group of Maine veterans returned from their Honor Flight to the nation’s capital.

The trip is at no cost to the veterans. All of it covered by donations.
On Sunday, the veterans were surprised on their return to the Portland Jetport with a procession.
"So many people that never got a welcome when they came home. I was one of the fortunate ones. I think because I did but they were so many that never got a welcome home and this is for them,” said Ernie Gay, a Vietnam War veteran.
