CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) —
Seventy-five years of tradition returns Tuesday evening to the capital city with the sounds and sights of beating drums, trumpet fanfare and twirling majorettes.

The Gazette-Mail Kanawha County Majorette and Band Festival is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Laidley Field in Charleston.
Organizers said all eight public high schools in Kanawha County will be performing at the event along with West Virginia University’s band, the Pride of West Virginia.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the gate.
