Authorities are investigating a shooting that happened in Caruthersville Friday night. The Caruthersville PD reports they and Pemiscot County deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the 1500 block of Shultz Ave. Friday night about 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived they found 19 year old Herschel Grant Jr. of Hayti lying on the asphalt bleeding from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He died early Saturday morning at a Memphis hospital.
