Daily Mail reports this in today’s paper . I feel sure she has the strength of character to overcome this, but she shouldn’t have to really.

It also reports that viewing figures were well down at a maximum of 6.8 million

Not going to search any of this out - or give the Heil any clicks on this. I hear the comments are vile as usual.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour - these people would never say it to her face, so it amazes me how they think it’s acceptable online.

She did really well on Saturday, her and Nikita already have a fantastic partnership and I can’t wait to see how they do with future dances!

It seems that an element of people are not able to watch a tv show without being nasty to some of the contestants. I don't get it.

Of course the usual, you don't have to read social media comments. Why should she, has thousands of fans.

The irony of faceless, likely achievement-less losers trolling such an accomplished, hard-working woman isn’t lost on me.

Ellie & Nikita are going to go far in this competition — she has amazing rhythm and timing, plus I predict their friendship is going to be one lots of us fall in love with.

I really hope she can rise above the horrendous trolls but it’s sad that she even has to.

I haven't seen any evidence of this (to be fair, I haven't looked) but I think a very good question is how she's going to manage ballroom and be in hold with Nikita. Has that been answered anywhere yet?

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend checking out Terra Jole’s dances on Dancing With The Stars - that’ll give you an idea on how they can adapt hold for a person with dwarfism.

I have if you search Twitter.
Ballroom hold is a fair question but Ellie has said that before she signed on that her needs were adapted so let's see what they do.

There are some hideous people out there for sure.

Some of the comments though might be badly expressed, but they are along the lines of 'how is this going to work' due to the height difference between Ellie and Nikita. With luck, those will evaporate as the series goes on. Ellie is really, really popular as far as I can tell, the dancing will soon win people around.

Without wanting to offend anyone - I'm only comparing size-wise to that of a normal sized adult, but its exactly the same frame and hold as a teacher would use, taking a child or small adult into a competition.. A professional can easily adapt to a student of any height.

You may wish to re-phrase that.

I'm sorry but can't think of what else to put...hence I did start the post by not wanting to offend anyone, but you understand what I mean.

I think average sized is probably better.

Don't worry too much - it's a bit of a minefield nowadays. I'm not saying it shouldn't be but it is tricky.

Thank you @tabithakitten . I find myself double checking what I say and write and seemingly still get it wrong :(

I find myself using the "if in doubt, put it in inverted commas" rule. Then, if it's not quite right, at least people know you didn't mean it literally.

Most people know exactly what you mean and there is clearly no derogatory intent behind it👍

I hope Ellie manages to avoid seeing any malicious comments. Honestly, happens every year. Pathetic.

Pathetic that she is getting trolled but Ellie is better then all of them. Hope she manages to avoid seeing them. Social Media can be so nasty sometimes :/

Hi the term is "average height" if that helps, but I knew what you meant.
