Weston hopes new locker room will improve female police recruitment

Police gender equality is still just a dream in one Fairfield County town, but there are plans to try to change that. The Weston Police Department is taking what could be best described as a Field of Dreams approach
toward recruiting women officers. Right now, there are no women cops in Weston. Maybe, the town says, that's because Weston's police facilities
do not include any women's facilities. It says building a female locker room and bathroom will result in women joining the force. Making that dream come true will cost 500 thousand dollars -- the expense to be paid by Connecticut's Small Town Economic Assistance Program
