Apple orchards across our region were busy this past weekend, and Adams Apple Orchard in Williston was no exception.
The orchard is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Farmer John Adams is making sure the community has some fun.
On top of having food trucks every weekend, Adams is hiding three golden apples among the 900 trees in the orchard each Saturday and Sunday.
Anyone who finds a gold apple will receive a coupon for a free pie from the farm market.
Adams said its his way of saying, "Thank you," to the community for their decades of support.
"We really enjoy the people. They seem to really enjoy coming here. It's a good time place," said Adams.
Adams said there are still plenty of apples left to pick, including some late-season varieties.
He believes the season will continue through late October.
