CLEVELAND, Ohio — The week is starting off with stormy conditions, with showers and thunderstorms likely throughout Monday and Tuesday, and could even carry over into Wednesday.
The continued threat of rain has resulted in the National Weather Service issuing a flood watch for Cuyahoga, Lake Geauga and Ashtabula counties, effective through late Tuesday night.
Rain is likely throughout the day Monday, particularly during the afternoon. It will be windy, with gusts up to 29 mph. High temperatures will stay in the low 60s, and it will dip to about 50 degrees overnight.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely overnight and Tuesday. High temps won’t get out of the 50s Tuesday and winds will be 11 to 15 mph. Overnight temps will be in the upper 40s and more showers and thunderstorms are likely.
Wednesday will bring similar conditions, with highs in the upper 50s and a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. The break from the rain will come Thursday as forecasts call for sunny skies and highs around 60 degrees.
