THE SHOOTING HAPPENED LAST SUNDAY IN THE EASTBOUND LANES NEAR THE SOUTHERN PARKWAY EXIT. THE CORONER SAYS 37 YEAR OLD AHMED NAFAA ABDUL JABER DIED FROM HIS INJURIES ON FRIDAY. Coroner IDs man who died after being shot on the Watterson Expressway
The Jefferson County Coroner's office has identified the man shot on the Watterson Expressway as 37-year old Ahmed Nafa Abdul Jabar. He was found shot on I264 East near Exit 10 on September 18.He died at University Hospital five days later. EMS was called to the scene. Due to the severity of the man's injuries, he was taken to University Hospital.Authorities say the man is in critical condition. According to Trimarc, the incident closed the eastbound lanes for a medical emergency. By 7:20 p.m., all lanes of the Watterson had reopened.
