UPDATE: ROCK VIEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Residents in the Rock View area who have experienced water outages following a leak on Sunday should now be seeing restoration of their service.
A final update provided Monday night by the Town of Pineville indicates that those affected by the outage following line repairs beginning Sunday and extending through the day Monday need wait no longer for their service to resume
“After a long day yesterday and today, the water is back on in the [Rock View] area,” read the update. “We truly appreciate your patience and We understand the importance of everyone having water. These men have worked long and hard to restore your water!”
Also acknowledge in the update was the issuance of a boil water advisory for those in affected areas, which was indicated to be occurring following restoration of service early on in the process of these repairs.
Residents in these areas will remain on a boil water advisory until further notice.

UPDATE: ROCK VIEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Repairs to a Wyoming County water line leak remain ongoing per a Monday morning update from the Town of Pineville.
The line leak, initially announced on Sunday, has affected the water service of some residents throughout the Rock View area.
While initial estimates indicated that a number of hours would be needed to facilitate the completion of repairs, a Monday morning update indicated the emergence of technical issues.
These issues are reported to have necessitated the replacement of a number of parts following the determination of the precise location of the leak.
“We are diligently preparing to fix the leak at [Rock View,] the update read. “We will have the leak repaired as soon as possible.”
A projected completion time for repairs has not yet been provided . ____________________________________
ROCK VIEW, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Necessary efforts being made to address a water leak are reported to have left some Wyoming County residents without water.
A Sunday afternoon notice from the Town of Pineville indicated an upcoming water outage in the Rock View area following a water line leak.
The outage was planned, per the notice, and will remain in effect as repairs are being conducted to address the issue.
The repairs themselves are reportedly expected to take several hours.
An update to the initial release confirmed that, as of 8:24pm Sunday, repairs on the line leak are still underway.
Additionally, it was revealed that customers in affected areas will be under a boil water advisory once service is returned.
