Shortly after Atlanta got its first win of the NFL season, the team's social media team published an epic tweet trolling the Seahawks, the city of Seattle, and a rougue drone that delayed action for nearly eight minutes and almost stole victory from the Falcons' clutches.

Let's explain...

Play was temporarily stopped during the Falcons-Seahawks game in Seattle for one of the oddest reasons imaginable. Well, at least this was odd prior to this weekend in the greater Seattle area.

Late in the fourth quarter on Sunday, officials asked everyone to clear Lumen Field for a concern of NFL Security Protocols.

Turns out there was a rogue drone flying overhead.

Fewer than 24 hours prior, the Washington Huskies-Stanford Cardinal game was delayed, also late in the fourth quarter, because of a drone flying above the stadium.

There have been no details as to whether the two incidents involved the same drone, or drone pilot, but the effects were different for the hometown football team. The Huskies beat the Cardinal after Saturday's drone delay, but Seattle fell to Atlanta, 27-23, even though the delay left some doubt about the outcome.

The Falcons were driving with the lead, and looked to be on cruise control when the drone delayed the action. Three plays later Marcus Mariota fumbled an attempted play-action pass attempt and Seattle recovered.

Seattle was unable to take advantage as a Richie Grant interception sealed the win for the visiting Falcons.
