Fundraiser held to help Sand Springs families involved in tragic crash

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — A skate center in Sand Springs held a fundraiser Saturday night for the families of the five teens involved in a deadly car crash two weeks ago.

Steven Halter, the General Manger at Skates Rollertainment said they donated 50% of their admission fees to help the families.

“We’re trying to donate half of every admission that comes through the door,” Halter said.

Halter said the event came about after a family member reached out to them.

“One of the family members reached out to us and asked what we could do, so I sat down with the owner, we kind of figured out what would work best, and this seemed like something that was quick and the most effective to get as much money to them as we could,” he said.

Halter said more than 100 people showed up and they were grateful to be in a position to help.

There are several fundraising efforts underway to help out the families of the crash victims:

Ethan Gibson Fundraiser

Cyra Saner Fundraiser

Kylee Weaver Fundraiser
