SUPPORT. DEFINITELY. AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE HERE SUPPORTING THOSE EDMOND OFFICERS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN PRAYER. THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE HOPING FOR PEACE FOR BOTH FAMILIES AS WELL AS RECOVER FOR SERGEANT WELLS. IT HITS CLOSE TO HOME. ALL MOTORCYCLE RIDER, BROTHERHOOD OR SISTERHOOD? YOU KNOW, ONE GOES DOWN, IT HURTS ALL OF THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS JOINING TOGETHER IN FRONT OF THE EDMOND POLICE DEPARTMENT. I WAS BORN HERE IN EDMOND. I’VE GROWN UP WITH THIS TOWN. I’M HERE FOR A PRAYER VIGIL FOR THE POLICE OFFICERS. EDMOND POLICE SAYING THIS HAS BEEN A DIFFICULT FEW MONTHS FOR THEIR OFFICERS. IT’S ALWAYS PAINFUL TO KNOW THEY HAD TO. ONE OF OUR POLICE OFFICERS IS INJURED OR FALLS IN THE LINE OF DUTY. SOME IN ATTENDANCE SAY THIS IS ALSO A TIME TO THANK THE OFFICERS FOR WHAT THEY’VE SACRIFICED FOR PEOPLE PUTTING THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE EVERY DAY. THEY SAY THEY’RE GRATEFUL FOR THEIR SERVICE. WE DON’T KNOW THE FAMILIES PERSONALLY, BUT WE KNOW HOW THEY SERVE US AND WE ARE JUST GRATEFUL FOR THAT LOVE THAT THEY CARE FOR US, THAT THEY’RE WILLING TO DO THAT. THOSE IN ATTENDANCE HOPE THEIR PRAYERS WILL TOUCH THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENT GOING FORWARD, HOPING GOD WILL REACH DOWN AND PROTECT EVERYBODY, KEEP THEM SAFE. SERGEANT JOSEPH WELLS IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER BEING THROWN FROM HIS MOTORCYCLE DURING A POLICE CHASE ON FRIDAY IN EDMOND COLB
