DETROIT (WWJ) – A 30-year-old woman is dead after a reported shooting on Detroit’s west side early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened in the parking lot of a business plaza around 3:30 a.m. near Davison and Livernois, according to a report from WDIV.
Police received calls of a shooting in the area and when they showed up, found the woman had been fatally shot.
A shooter had not been taken into custody, as of Sunday morning.
Authorities have not released many details about the incident, including a possible motive or description of a suspect.
WDIV reported someone was taken away in handcuffs after driving through the scene as police investigated, but it was not clear whether that was related to the shooting.
Police are still investigating.
