Arby’s locations located in Arapahoe, Denver, Jefferson, and Summit counties will experience upgrades to their exterior and interior. The intended changes include “moving from the beige colors and black-and-red cowboy hats that defined the brand for decades to brighter white walls with a white-and-red cowboy hat. And the booths that have long been a signature [of] the interior are being replaced by tables and faux-wood-panel walls that give the eateries a more welcoming look.”

In a 2021 article by ConstructionDive about the renovation of 368 outdated Arby’s restaurants, Ron Bellamy, Flynn Restaurant Group’s chief improvement officer, said, “Arby’s as a whole … has a real challenge with its asset base. You have a bunch of restaurants out there that have not been remodeled for 20, [and] in some cases 30, years.” He went on to explain, “There’s just this mismatch between what is an exceptional product [and] phenomenal marketing, and then a really difficult asset to get new guests to go into.”

Bellamy began renovating Arby’s locations across the country in 2019, inspired by the pandemic’s push for sanitation and safety. According to the aforementioned article, the midwestern locations that received renovations in 2021 experienced “[updated] signage and digital menu boards..in the dining rooms. The company put new drive-thru signs outside and laid electrical conduit down with the anticipation that Arby’s corporate will eventually deploy digital menu boards.”

It’s unclear if the Denver-area locations will incur identical upgrades. What Now Denver reached out to Ron Bellamy for comment but did not receive immediate feedback.
