2 dead after crash with drunk driver on Loop 340, suspect in custody: Robinson police

CENTRAL TEXAS — A Central Texas man is in custody after being charged with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, police said.

Bobbie Molina, 27, was driving a Ford Taurus when he struck a travel trailer being towed by a Chevrolet Suburban, according to the Robinson Police Department.

Police said upon being tested, Molina was found to have a blood alcohol content of .190 and .193.

He has since been transported to the McLennan County Jail.

Around 2:10 p.m this Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of South Loop 340 on reports of a two-vehicle collision, Robinson police said.

Upon arrival, officers said they found the Suburban flipped, upside down in the median between Loop 340 and the access road.

Police said 2 of the 3 occupants inside were ejected upon impact, the third later being removed by bystanders.

Officials said that despite life-saving measures performed by the Robinson Volunteer Fire Department and AMR, one occupant was declared dead on the scene.

She has since been identified as 74-year-old, Delia Bogart.

The driver of the Suburban has also been identified as 79-year-old, Floyd Bogard.

Police said Bogard was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest by AMR where he later died from his injuries.

The rear seat passenger of the Suburban was also transported to the same hospital via AMR.

Police said he has since been treated for his injuries and released.

An investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing.

UPDATE: Robinson police have confirmed that the driver of the white SUV has since been arrested on intoxication manslaughter charges.

Police said the suspect blew twice, with the first coming back 0.19 and the second 0.193.

The current legal point is 0.07.

Additionally, a person ejected from the truck and transported to the hospital has since died from their injuries, police said.

No further details are available at this time.

An investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing.

A person is dead after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in Central Texas, police said.

Sometime around 11 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of South Loop 340 on reports of a two-vehicle crash, according to the Robinson Police Department.

Police said a driver inside a white SUV - suspected of being intoxicated - crashed into a truck pulling a trailer that had been heading towards the 77-exit.

All three people inside the truck - including the driver - were ejected upon impact, Robinson police said.

Authorities said that none of the three people ejected had been wearing their seatbelts at the time.

Robinson police said two of three people ejected sustained serious injuries and have since been transported to a hospital.

Of the three people ejected from the truck, police have also confirmed that one was officially declared dead on the scene.

No further details are available at this time.

The identities of the victims are being withheld as next of kin are notified.
