Knight cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Knight was designated for assignment by the Rays on Friday but will remain in the organization after he passed through waivers unclaimed. The 32-year-old has appeared in six MLB games this year and has a 5.73 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB across 11 innings.
