Long Beach police chased and arrested three teenagers after reports of a shooting at the Carmelitos housing community early Saturday night, according to authorities.

Police said the shooting, which didn’t wound anyone, was reported just before 7:30 p.m. While en route, officers were told a vehicle was seen fleeing the area at a high rate of speed, according to the LBPD.

Officers chased the car for about a mile and a half to the 6100 block of Walnut Avenue, according to LBPD spokesperson Allison Gallagher. There, the vehicle stopped and three suspects got out and attempted to flee on foot, according to police.

The vehicle then fled the area, but officers arrested the three suspects who’d tried to run—two 15-year-old males and a 16-year-old male—and recovered two firearms, according to authorities. The LBPD did not release their identities because they are minors.

Additional officers found evidence of a shooting, including casings, at the Via Carmelitos location, police said.

No injuries were reported in either the shooting or pursuit. The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
