A suspect has been charged with arson in an Aug. 30 trash fire in Montgomery.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue reported Sunday that "Kace" Jonathon Zuidhoek, 31, is being charged with second degree arson.

The trash fire occurred at the 1300 block of Federal Drive, and involved a one-story commercial building. It originated in the corner of the building between a garage and front door. The building was moderate damaged.

A witness gave authorities a description of the person who started the fire, identifying him as "Kace."

Zuidhoek was later found in the Montgomery County Jail on unrelated charges of probation violation, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. MCSO's site lists Zuidhoek's name as Jonathan, instead of Jonathon.

During an interview, Zuidhoek apologized for starting the fire, Montgomery Fire/Rescue reported.
