A dying shooting victim was dumped at a Brooklyn hospital Sunday morning, police said.

“Lost a piece of my heart today,” said the victim’s mother, Kenya Hayes. “I don’t feel (right) today.”

Someone dropped 28-year-old Romello Hayes off at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center at about 6:40 a.m. and then quickly left, police said.

Hayes, shot in the torso and arm, could not be saved. He lived in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to cops.

Hours before he was killed, he told his mother over the phone he was on his way out.

“I wish I would’ve (asked),” Kenya Hayes said. “He liked going out, going to dinner.”

The next morning, she found herself in a hospital where she was escorted to a chapel and told her son was dead.

Police told the woman his bullet wounds indicate he was defending himself.

“He was a sunny guy, always telling jokes,” Hayes said. “Outgoing. He was a good respectable son. He always let (me) know he love me.”

Romello Hayes has served time in prison for burglary twice over the last decade. Last year, he served just over three months.

No arrests have been made.
