NYC woman killed by hit-and-run driver after falling out of boyfriend’s car

A woman who was trying to get into her boyfriend’s car in Brooklyn on Sunday fell to the ground when he began driving away – and was fatally struck by a second vehicle, cops said.

The 46-year-old woman was climbing into the rear passenger seat of the Jeep Cherokee at St. John’s Place and Rochester Avenue in Crown Heights when her beau pulled out, causing her to fall to the street, cops said. 

The 48-year-old boyfriend didn’t realize his girlfriend was trying to get into the car, cops said.

She was then struck by an SUV that was traveling on St. Johns Place, cops said. The SUV driver fled after hitting her, police said.

The woman was taken to Kings County Hospital and declared dead, according to police. 

Police are looking for the SUV driver.
